Service Scope & Fleet Operations
Etl Farms, Inc. specializes exclusively in bulk agricultural grain hauling across Huron County and adjacent regions of the Michigan Thumb. Our field operations involve dispatching heavy-duty transport vehicles directly to field turn rows, harvest staging points, combine auger positions, and farm grain storage facilities, followed by transport to regional commercial grain elevators, grain processing terminals, and feed mills.
The mechanical equipment utilized for these operations comprises commercial day-cab trucks, heavy agricultural tractors, commercial grain trailers, bottom-dump hopper trailers, and on-farm maintenance and mechanical transport equipment.
Etl Farms, Inc. provides transport logistics and bulk cargo hauling only. We do not purchase, broker, hedge, grade, dry, clean, or store grain commodities on our own financial account. We are not a freight broker that resells dispatched loads to third-party motor carriers. Every scheduled haul is dispatched directly to our own driver and equipment rig.
Inquiry-Only Website Architecture & Order Formation
The digital platform at etlfarms.us functions strictly as an informational and direct inquiry channel. No commercial transactions are completed through this website. You cannot purchase freight runs, execute binding shipping orders, submit credit card details, process digital escrow payments, or complete financial checkout on this domain.
All freight figures, rate brackets, and mileage calculations displayed on this website or communicated through digital forms, interactive calculators, or support chat channels represent non-binding preliminary estimates. An inquiry submitted through our forms or chat widget does not create a binding hauling contract, carrier reservation, or guaranteed delivery window.
A legally enforceable hauling order is formed only after Etl Farms, Inc. explicitly reviews your inquiry, verifies equipment availability, assesses field approach conditions and route feasibility, confirms the receiving terminal schedule, and reaches a direct mutual operational agreement with the customer via telephone or written confirmation.
Bushel Rates, Pricing Factors, and Settlement Terms
Commercial grain hauling services performed by Etl Farms, Inc. are priced on a transparent per-bushel scale. Confirmed operator rates range between:
- Base Rate Range: 0.12 USD to 0.50 USD per bushel ($0.12–$0.50 USD/bu).
- Currency: All freight charges, fuel adjustments, and detention billings are denominated and invoiced in United States Dollars (USD).
The exact per-bushel freight rate quote for any specific harvest haul depends strictly upon six concrete operating variables:
- Loaded Transport Distance: Total highway and rural road road mileage from field edge or farm bin to the designated grain terminal or elevator intake pit.
- Total Bushel Volume: The gross commodity volume moved across the single-rig dispatch cycle or harvest campaign.
- Fuel Price Index & Burn: Real-time regional diesel fuel prices and route topography affecting rig fuel consumption.
- Commodity Grain Type: Bulk weight and handling characteristics of the hauled grain (such as shelled yellow corn, soybeans, dry edible navy beans, or soft white winter wheat).
- Field Approach & Turn-Row Conditions: Grade, soil moisture, gravel base, ditch clearance, and stability of the access lane leading to the loading staging point.
- Field Acreage Geometry & Staging Room: Field size, shape, turn-row radius, and turn-around space available for heavy commercial tractor-trailer maneuvers.
Freight settlements are computed directly from certified scale tickets issued by the receiving commercial grain elevator or terminal. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, freight invoices are rendered upon delivery and are due upon receipt of scale documentation.
Field Access, Driver Safety & Acceptable Operational Use
To maintain safe commercial trucking standards and prevent catastrophic equipment bogging or road shoulder failure, the customer must provide safe, legal, and structurally sound access to any loading point. Customers, field managers, and website users agree to comply with the following mandatory conditions:
- Field Approach Integrity: Farm lanes, culverts, bridge crossings, and field entry aprons must support loaded commercial vehicles weighing up to legal highway gross vehicle weight limits (80,000 lbs GVW or state-permitted agricultural axle tolerances).
- Mud & Saturated Soil Refusal: Etl Farms, Inc. maintains an absolute safety policy: we do not pull loaded commercial hopper rigs onto saturated topsoil, rain-soaked ditch banks, or uncompacted field headlands without an established firm gravel approach or verified tractor tow support. The operating driver retains sole, non-reviewable discretion on site to refuse entry onto hazardous terrain.
- Towing & Recovery Costs: If a customer orders a commercial rig onto a loading surface against driver warnings and the vehicle becomes mired, all commercial heavy-wrecker towing and extraction costs remain the customer's sole financial liability.
- Elevator Demurrage: Demurrage or waiting charges may apply when receiving terminal lines, scale malfunctions, or moisture rejections exceed agreed turn-around windows through no fault of our driver.
- Digital Acceptable Use: Users shall not submit fraudulent dispatch requests, transmit automated bot inquiries, attempt unauthorized access to server infrastructure, scrape rate schedules, or introduce malicious script into etlfarms.us.

Limitation of Carrier Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Michigan and federal law, the total cumulative liability of Etl Farms, Inc., its corporate officers, and its commercial drivers arising from any single freight run, dispatch inquiry, or breach of this agreement shall not exceed the total freight hauling fees actually paid by the customer to Etl Farms, Inc. for the specific haul giving rise to the claim.
Under no circumstances shall Etl Farms, Inc. be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages, including lost grain market profits, contract hedging default penalties, crop spoilage in unharvested fields due to combine shutdown, elevator drying surcharges, or dockage penalties assessed by receiving grain merchants.
Etl Farms, Inc. maintains commercial automotive cargo and liability insurance coverage as required for state-registered commercial carriers operating within the State of Michigan.
Termination & Right to Refuse Dispatch
Etl Farms, Inc. reserves the absolute right to refuse service, cancel pending dispatch scheduling, or immediately terminate transport operations under any of the following circumstances:
- Field approach lanes or farm gates become impassable, flooded, or structurally unsafe for heavy transport rigs.

- The grain presented for loading contains hazardous contamination, severe mold, active foreign matter fire risk, or illegal substances.
- The customer exhibits abusive, threatening, or unsafe behavior toward our commercial driver or workshop personnel.
- The customer fails to remit payment for prior completed grain hauling cycles or maintains delinquent accounts.
Either party may terminate non-dispatched future hauling reservations by providing timely telephonic or written notice to the other party prior to the departure of the transport rig from our Pigeon yard.
Governing Law, Venue & Dispute Resolution

Both parties irrevocably agree that any legal action, dispute, litigation, or proceeding arising out of or related to this agreement or our grain hauling operations shall be heard exclusively in the courts of PIGEON, MI, United States. Both parties consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in the courts of PIGEON and waive any objection regarding inconvenient forum.
